S-9: View to east from the south shore. Notice the muck "ooze" from the weight of the sand, Muck (material that presented a hazard to the public) was 5.5' to 8' deep surrounding the pond.

S-11: First 'roll-back' of excavation. 20+ feet from the pond AND the road "rolled" back together. Total width of swath nearly 45'. South shore.

S-13: At 'roll-back', sand and muck were mixed together to enhance drying of muck and to establish firmer ground to support 30,000 lb. equipment. (Note land mark pine trees)

S-21: Interesting to note: This is a hole dug over 9' deep adjacent to the pond. Contrary to local belief, there is no indication of water seeping thru the wall of the hole at any point. Observe, however, the natural sandy bottom and a SPRING just starting to form at the bottom of the hole. All positive indications for our "Mill Pond Park".
