Update Notes by Herb Smith
9/28/2000
We have been very busy for the past three weeks or so. Wood chips
from all pathways have been replaced, by hand, with a fine compactible
material. 200 ton of the 'fines' have been placed in over 1,000 feet
of pathways. An additional 100 ton of large stones completed the west
shoreline along with the RR ties to make just under 1,000 feet of
shoreline (an additional 180 ties). The south bridge approaches have
been lengthend for handicap accessability. The Gazebo is completed on
Island East cept for the benches and tables on three sides. A rope
barrier will also line the island pathway to remind visitors to stay on
the path. Landscaping will be a future project. East lawn reseeded
and fertilized for the fall/winter. Water will be added to the pond in
short order (presently awaiting a valve and installation of same).

Construction of a 30' X 80' "Performance Shell/Pavilion" is scheduled
for rough-in construction in short order. Will probably be installed
in October.
