Rockwood Backwoods chili team has been participating in the cook-off every year, they were last years first place co-winners also.


Trimmer's Timbers
This is Gary & Pat's 4th year in the
Chili Cook-Off.
This wonderful couple travel from Temperance Michigan, which is at least 390 miles from Curtis, for this event!

Last year Ostrich was one of their unique ingredients.
This year it was wild boar & elk.

They've attended the Carnival every year, but this is their first time participating in the Chili Cook-Off. Tom Oliver has been coming to the Curtis area since he was age 3.

No Rules on Ingredients, style or clothing. Enter as many chilies as you wish!

They have a Lodge near Curtis & have been coming here for the past 12 years.
Thanks to John Colestock from the Shipwreck Inn, they decided to get involve with the Chili Cook-Off this year!

Bring your own gear and ingredients. Chili must be prepared on site, in area designated by the Three Lakes Fireworks Council.
Must make a minimum of 1 gallon of chili.
No food other than chili may be prepared or distributed during chili cook-off. Chili cannot be given away (Except for Sampling), but any proceeds from selling chili may be donated or can be kept to offset cost.
