Selection for purchasing this home will be based on the applicant's need for adequate shelter and inability to obtain a commercial mortgage, ability to pay the mortgage and willingness to partner with Habitat and do volunteer work. Applications are available at the Luce County Family Independence Agency (FIA) on McMillan Avenue, also at the Community Action Agency located in the Community Building and by calling Judy at 293-8819 and requesting an application be mailed to you. Assistance in completing the application form is available at the FIA. Completed applications are due April 18, 2001. They can be mailed to HiawathaLand Habitat, P.O. Box 336, Newberry, 49868; or returned to the FIA. HiawathaLand Habitat will notify you in writing whether or not your application has been selected.
